LSST DP1 FITS products¶
The Legacy Survey of Space and Time Data Preview 1 (LSST DP1) contains image and catalog products generated by Rubin Science Pipelines v29 from real LSST Commissioning Camera (ComCam) observations of seven fields over seven weeks in 2024. The official release date was June 30, 2025.

DP1 is proprietary and available only to Rubin data rights holders, under the Rubin Data Policy and RDO-013.

Local inventory
The quantities on this page document the files available in LIneA's infrastructure. They may differ from Rubin's published totals because of the organization and current state of the local copy.
Sky coverage by band¶
DP1 observed seven fields of approximately one square degree each. Coverage is not the same across bands:
- u: ECDFS, EDFS, Low Galactic Latitude Field, and Seagull Nebula.
- g and r: all seven fields.
- i: all fields except Seagull Nebula.
- z: Low Ecliptic Latitude Field, ECDFS, EDFS, Low Galactic Latitude Field, and Seagull Nebula.
- y: 47 Tuc, ECDFS, EDFS, and Low Galactic Latitude Field.
The table gives each field center and the official number of visits per band. Zero means that the field was not observed in that band.

How to interpret coverage
These figures describe visits observed by Rubin. Deep coadds include only exposures that meet quality criteria; edge patches may contain areas without data, marked by the NO_DATA mask. Local file counts by band are listed in the product tables below.

Deep coadd¶
A band-by-band combination of calibrated, background-subtracted exposures for a sky region, using an inverse-variance-weighted mean. Each file represents a patch in one of the six u, g, r, i, z, and y bands.

Deep coadd n-image¶
Two-dimensional maps of the number of exposures stacked into each deep-coadd pixel, useful for evaluating coverage and relative depth.

HealSparse FITS maps¶
Twelve survey-property maps, one file per band (u, g, r, i, z, y), totaling 72 files and 451 MB. They use FITS with the .hsp extension.

Inventory limits¶
This page covers only FITS products currently documented in LIneA's local copy. Official DP1 also provides raw exposures, visit images, template coadds, and difference images that are not recorded as available in these local directories. See the official image-product index.
